Since I have a livejournal to suit all my blogging needs, I think that I'll use this as a general introduction thingamer.
[biography]
My name is Jennifer Lynne Sparky Young. I go by 'Cephied Variable' on the internet because I love astronomy and I can't spell. No, Sparky is not legally part of my name, but once I turn 18 it will be.
When I was younger, popular media led me to believe that I would save the world once I turned fifteen. Two years later, I have yet to accomplish any heroic feats of heroicness. I still want to save the world, however, so now my goal in life is to make lots and lots of money when I get older, and donate it all to chairty.
Wait! Don't get any noble illusions about my personality. As amazing, beautiful and talented as I am I do have my faults. I am incredibly egotistic, a tad conceited and incurably arrogant. Yes, that's right- I think that I am better than you. I know that I am not, but my overactive sense of self worth disagrees with my common sensibilities every time. Don't worry- it's not your fault. The blame lies with my parents who have spent the past seventeen years metaphorically worshipping the ground I walk on.
When I was very little, I wanted to be a Bounty Hunter like my idol, Boba Fett. I soon realized that this was an unrealistic goal, so I decided instead to settle for the galmorous life of a private eye. But, since it's no longer the 1920's, film noir just isn't want it used to be. Eventually, I sighed gave in and decided to buckle into the super-exciting life of a writer.
I like big words. I like philosophy. I like idiosynscricies. I like spell check, since it's already obvious that my spelling is sub-par.
I write fantasy and sci-fi. I know that I'm not the greatest artist, but my drawing skills suit my purpose. I mostly use drawings to excentuate my writing and help give my characters and worlds more depth by giving people a visual representation. I try to give what I draw personality. If a drawing has personality, I'm usually happy with it and I can overlook the terrible mistakes I always make when I draw. o.O
^___________^ I like this text-face. If I don't use, I sound all stiff and formal and condescending.
A Very Brief Explanation of Jenn's Series
as to avoid some confusion when one observes her art
Ryuuguu
... is a series that I am writing with three other people. It will be fourteen books long once we get the whole kerfuffle finished. It's about dragons. And life. And relationships and stuff. Although there is a loose plot, Ryuuguu is mostly about how people's lives connect, collide and interweave. The story takes place in an age where dragons are slowly dying out due to the stagnation of their tribe's religions and their minor battles with humans.
Ryuuguu itself is a safe haven where misfit and outcasted dragons flee, safe from the persecution of humans. Ryuuguu is a small community that slowly evolves into a Kingdom of dragons and quickly collapses into a minor apocolypse.
I Usually Draw... The more humanoid characters in the Ryuuuguu universe, since I can't draw dragons if my life depended on it. I especially enjoy drawing the half human/half dragon siblings
Rhapsody Hopestar,
Julidan Baranohr and
Danae Kiiroflower. Julidan, is in fact, my favorite character ever ^_____^. He's written by my friend Leslie and is a simply amazing feat in subtle character development! He's an angsty, self-sacrificing, abused red head and you'll understand why I worship the paper he's written on once we publish this behemoth. I also love drawing my character
Omoidasu Tristezza, whom I'm aprreciating the heck out of after recently deciding not to kill him off. He's a beautiful, charismatic, flamboyant, intelligent, prolific, bisexual, crossdressing, immortal half gryphon. And, um, yeah. o.O
The Tale
I've been working on this story since I was ten years old. It's... complicated, mostly because the main character is also the main villian. Sort of. It's one of those
Good vs. Evil dilly-o's, but I've tried to add a few interesting twists such as the blood drinking mages and the self mutilating elves and... I was a pretty f'ed up ten year old.
I Usually Draw... Cyadya Starjourney in all her blind, drunken, mercenary spledour. She's fun to draw because she's a woman who isn't beautiful. If that... makes sense. o.O I also enjoy drawing
Quake because of his ridiculously huge ears, obscene amount of piercings, full body tattos and ridiculously impractical sword. Wheee.
Illuminati
Atypical psycic powers and kids who are too smart for their own good. I started writing this one in the summer and just kind of ran with it. The main character sees the past and future in mirrors; another character randomly *knows* random pieces of information. It's fun to write because of it's detatched, apathetic style. In fact, I think one of the things I'm trying to communicate in Illuminati is the general apathetic nature of my generation. Hmmm...
I Usually Draw... Zachairah and Gareth, because identical twins are fun.
Lacey because her hair is big, and
Nell because her clothes are... interesting. Slutty, but interesting...
Noitcelfer
Mirror worlds locked in a civil war. Political messes, government corruption, opression of the masses, ect. When I first read Inu Yasha five years ago, this was somehow inspired (I don't know. I like fuedal Japan o.O;

. Basically, the plot goes like this: There is Noitcelfer, and then there is Rorrim. They are mirror worlds created by a rip in... reality or something... created by a massive magical experiment gone wrong. Whenever someone is born in Noitcelfer, a mirror existence is born in Rorrim. Not realizing that they are basically the same place, these two "countries" are at war. A runaway princess with the manners of a bandit, and her timid priest of a companion get caught up in the legalities of this war. Meanwhile, dictatoress of Noitcelfer sets off to discover the secret behind "Mirrors" and falls in love with a guy who is supposed to assassinate her. Lots of words are spelt backwards.
I Usually Draw... Edisekal Xenogossia, Empress of Ayght! Her character design is... unique compared to the young, long haired girls I usually design.
Yuhgi Alulei, because he's wussy and wears glasses. ^___^
__sirens
I'm not even going to try to summarize this one. Sci-Fi. Angels. Religion. Science. Stuff. And then everyone dies.
I Usually Draw... Keiko, because "he" has no gender, wears a kimono and is covered in barcodes. Dude, if ever there was a character with a more entertaining character design I've yet to draw them.
And that's about it. Bored to tears yet? ^____^
I also have a snarky and abrasive sidekick named Rusty. He's a stuffed dog who's been with me since I was four years old. See, I was a lonely kid with no siblings and an intese hatred for other children my age, so I resorted to associating with my closest stuffed animal. I just never quite grew out of it. o.O Really, most kid's stuffed toys have supportive, agreeable personalities. I spent my entire childhood arguing with Rusty about everything and everyone- I'm not sure if this says something rather... interesting about me, or if I should have taken my friend Rebecca more seriously when she exclaimed with some alarm:
"I can't believe this! Rusty has an AURA!"
... and I think I'm done.
La.
The End.
Rejoice, and dance in ze rain!

I will have to add you back eventually, but, um, I don't do the DA thing often since my computer 5()x0r5 big time and it takes about fifteen minutes to get anything done on this website.

I'm impressed that you can still manage to fake enthusiasm still being at the hellhole they like to call 'Park West'. That school somehow manages to suck ALL enthusiasm out of it's students, genuine or otherwise.
Ugh, I'm willinging talking about school. Must be that time of year. I really dislike late August. >_<
